DIRECTIONS TO JONES BEACH

Note: After parking in field 5 walk under overpass toward beach area.

From South Brooklyn:
Take Belt Pkwy (east) to Southern State Pkwy. Then take Southern State Pkwy to Meadow Brook Pkwy. Take Meadow Brook Pkwy to Jones Beach, field 5.

From North Brooklyn:
Take BQE (east) to Grand Central Pkwy to Northern State Pkwy to Meadow Brook Pkwy to Jones Beach, field 5.

From Manhattan:
Take Midtown tunnel to BQE (east) to Grand Central Pkwy to Northern State Pkwy to Meadow Brook Pkwy to Jones Beach, field 5.

From Bronx:
Take Saw Mill Pkwy (north) to Cross County Pkwy to Hutchinson River Pkwy (south) to Throgsneck Bridge to Cross Island Pkwy to Southern State Pkwy to Meadow Brook Pkwy to Jones Beach, field 5.

Returning to the Bronx:
Take Meadow Brook Pkwy to Southern State Pkwy to Cross Island Pkwy to Whitestone Bridge to Hutchinson River Pkwy (north) to Cross County Pkwy to Saw Mill Pkwy (south).

 
Train/Bus:
Long Island Railroad has a package rate leaving from Penn Station. It's $14 round trip. Take the Babylon line to Freeport (approx. 45 min. ride), then walk downstairs and take the JB62 bus to Jones Beach (bus ride is approx. 20-25 min.)
