July 11 through 13, Kenshikai will be holding its sixth annual
Summer Camp! It's a great opportunity to relax, train, have a lot
of fun and get to know your fellow karatekas a little better.
This year's summer camp takes place at Menla Mountain again.
It is located in a lush, picturesque and serene spot in upstate
New York only 2 hours from the concrete city.Feel free to

We depart Manhattan on Friday, July 11 in the midday (departure
time, meeting location and car assignments to be announced).
We depart the camp on Sunday, July 13 early afternoon. |

forms. Make sure you register as soon as possible because
space is limited and fills up on a first-come-first-served
basis.

BY CAR FROM NEW YORK CITY:
Cross George Washington Bridge (upper level); take an immediate
right onto the Palisades Parkway; continue to exit 9 West
(NYS Thruway Albany 87). Drive for about 1 hour to exit 19
(Kingston exit); after toll booth take first right at traffic
circle onto Route 28 West toward Pine Hill. Continue about
22 miles to Phoenicia, continue approximately 1 mile beyond
the sign and take a left onto Woodland Valley Road (Woodland
Valley Inn is on corner). Cross bridge, bear right, continue
on Woodland Valley Road for about 1/2 mile. Cross three small
bridges and take right onto Pantherkill Road (just before
another small bridge and a "dangerous intersection"
sign), continue to end of road and enter gates of Menla Mountain
Retreat. Go through the gates into Menla, bearing slightly
right uphill to the main parking area.
